Understanding Engaged and Not Engaged

Learn what Engaged and Not Engaged mean in GlassHouse and how these statuses help you track message performance across SMS and email.

💡 What It Is

When reviewing your prospect activity in GlassHouse, you may see contacts marked as Engaged or Not Engaged. These statuses help you understand which prospects are interacting with your messages — and which might still need more attention.

🎯 Why It Matters

Engagement shows intent. When you know who’s interacting with your messages, you can prioritize your follow-ups more effectively and identify which campaigns are driving the strongest responses.

⚙️ How It Works

Engaged
A prospect is considered Engaged when they have interacted with your message. This includes actions such as:

  • Clicking on a link in your message

  • Replying to your SMS or email

  • Opening and interacting with your email (where tracking applies)

Not Engaged
A prospect is considered Not Engaged when they have not yet taken any action on your message.

  • The message has been successfully delivered.

  • No clicks, replies, or other interactions have been recorded.

  • This status is common immediately after a message is sent, and it may change over time if the prospect engages later.
